Banking career is top pick of S'pore varsity students

Fresh off the press. Let me extract part of the article....

Banking is the most popular career choice among Singapore university students, with foreign banks dominating the top employer choices among the students. But they rank SIA as preferred choice of employer, edging out Citibank.
According to the study, a significant portion -24%- of students in Singapore want to go into investment banking upo graduating, while another 17 percent are eyeing private or commercial banking.

First of all, I am absolutely surprised to see SIA as our top pick. Second of all, 24 freaking percent want investment banking when there should be much much less.
This study is conducted by a Swedish-based research firm, based on the responses of 1,733 student from NUS, NTU, and SMU. See, I am wary of such study. If I am not wrong, the 3 business schools occupied less than 20% of the whole undergraduate population in Singapore. How can investment banking be the top choice for 24% of our undergraduates? Are they just conducting the survey based on just business students? What about medical and engineering? What about arts and social science? Like what we always hear ..... rubbish in, rubbish out.
Anyway, here's the ranking ~
1. SIA
2. Citigroup
3. JP Morgan
4. Exxon Mobil
5. Raffles International Hotels & Resorts
6. 3M
7. Shell
8. P&G
9. BMW
10. Merrill Lynch
11. Goldman Sachs
12. Deusche Bank
13. L'Oreal
14. Singapore Tourism Board
15. Credit Suisse
16. IBM
17.Microsoft
18. PWC
19. Morgan Stanley
