In one of my earliest post in this blog, I exclaimed that oil is running out soon. The future power belong to the nations producing nuclear power.
The Business Times today has an interesting articles. It's like finally people are waking up to the idea that we have to plan for the end of Oil Age. Never mind the cost and failure of all the alternative power sources, we have to continue investing in them. You and I all have to face the dry wells in our lifetime. What do you think will happen? The vehicles won't move. The planes can't fly. The machineries can't run. Electricty won't be generated. You may think that there will be alternative energy when the day actually arrived. Have you thought of the machineries then? Do you really believe all of these will be ready by then? I doubt so.
Shell is the 3rd largest company in the world. I have this gut feeling that it won't remain in top 20 ..... maybe 50 years down the road. Mark my words.
